Dear visitor, former guest, friend, former team member, or customer.
Within the past years we took care of this beautiful resort - we developed, maintained an put our energy, our service and our power into this place and it was a great pleasure to serve you. We started and first of all put windows into the cabanas - there was nothing before and no screen - just simple curtains - we upgraded and later screened all cabanas. Then we modified the "bunk house" - created small rooms with shared bath rooms, put walls, new beds, new paintings, bath room facilities and turned a bunk house into a nice house with family rooms. Then we built the swimming pool - Hans made it happen that we got our new pool and it was an immense advantage to finally get this pool - we all enjoyed these new facilities and it opened a new window for events and activities with locals. We upgraded the restaurant - then the bar - got Internet connection - modified the staff house - got cows and chicken and goats and slowly Casa Maya resort grew and grew and became what we offered to you in the end: A very nice place - meeting point - natural retreat - education place and spot for some nice vacation.
Now Casa Maya Resort is sold and we wanted to thank everybody who stopped by at Casa Maya - guests from all over the word, adventurers, families, politicians, pop stars and in the first place wonderful people!
We wanted to thank Al Sattler, the owner, who was there 99.9% of the time, took care of the office day by day, guide the staff, cook delicious meals (we loved your Belizean food but also your "Schnitzel" and "Goulasch" - yummee! - be bar tender and entertain all people at the bar and permanently maintain the grounds of this 63 acres property and get all these football (soccer) teams into this resort.
We wanted to thank Hans Wagenhaus - first Manager - and the person who implemented the resort onto the International market. He created the Casa Maya website, shot all photographs, built the swimming pool with his investment, got the first wholesalers into the place, implemented regular reservations via Internet, implemented food plans and theme nights, organized big events and trained the staff. Hans then moved to a new challenge to Salamander Hideaway and Al took over the management. Hans created the "surf & turf" options with Salamander and continued to do sales and reservation for us and after Salamander has been sold returned back to Casa Maya to prepare the hand-over to the new owners. Hans now is at "Las Hadas Resort" in Mexico and you all must know that if you visit him you'll get the gorgeous food and incredible service that Hans always implemented into all the places he took care of with "heart and soul and lots of passion" - thank you Hans! www.las-hadas-resort.com
We wanted to thank some of the team members - Chrissy, Gretel, Elsa, Lee, Vince, Arnold "Chamaco", Patty and all the others and we wanted to thank our personal friend Erwin Contreras who now with the new Belizean government is Minister in the cabinet of prime Minister Hon. Dean Barrow: Erwin, we wish you all the best, luck and we hope that this government has the courage to work in honesty and with energy focused onto the benefit of the Belizean people!
....and we must thank our webmaster too!
To all of you a big and sunny smile from Casa Maya Resort! :-)
